Welcome to Hyped Up! We're so excited to have you as part of our team.
Here at Hyped Up! we are dedicated to
Helping Youth Pursue Excellence through Dance!
As dance counselors, Our goal is to inspire and empower individuals through the art of dance. With a passion for movement and a deep understanding of various dance styles, we strive to create a positive and inclusive environment where students can explore their creativity, build strength, and achieve their personal goals.
We have experience in both teaching and performing dance. We have trained in styles including hip-hop, praise and poms. This diverse background allows us to adapt our teaching approach to meet the individual needs and interests of our students.
We strongly believe that dance is not only a physical activity but also a form of self-expression and emotional release. In our classes, we focus not only on the technical aspects of dance but also on encouraging students to connect with their bodies and express themselves authentically.
Our teaching style is characterized by a combination of discipline, encouragement, and creativity. We provide a structured and supportive learning environment where students feel motivated to challenge themselves and strive for excellence, while also fostering a sense of fun and enjoyment in their dance journey.
Whether you are a beginner looking to explore the world of dance or an experienced dancer aiming to develop your skills further, we are here to guide and support you in achieving your goals. Let's dance together and unlock your full potential!
Here at Hyped Up we are for INCLUSIVITY.
No experience? No problem!!!
We are only associated with sponsors and businesses that believe in the same principles we do! Our goal is to motivate, build and be inclusive so that no one feels like they don’t belong. To be a safe space and an environment that our kids can have and look forward to.
Our colors represent: Passion, Purpose, and Power (Red, Yellow, and Black)
As a team we will participate in the community. We will perform for the community, and even do fun things as well as have an annual summer bash.
Every semester we will participate in team building activities to get the team better acquainted with each other.

Hip hop dance is a style of street dance form that evolved from hip hop culture and hip-hop music. It borrows elements from several different styles like African dance, tap, and ballet. Hip hop dance began as a freestyle dance performed in the streets by dance crews, mostly to hip hop music. It is important because Hip-hop can improve your overall physical fitness by improving your flexibility, muscle tone, cardiovascular health, and mental health. Hip-hop dancers are encouraged to let the music move them, so classes often provide opportunities for kids to freestyle and improvise. This is a great way to develop your child's creativity. The opportunity to express themselves is also a great outlet to blow off steam and rebalance emotions.
Majorette dancers mix multiple styles of dancing, including jazz, hip-hop, ballet, burlesque, cabaret, kick lines and more, to entertain audiences while simultaneously honoring the dancers who came before them. Majorette dance teams echo the importance of dance to Black culture.
*Fall Semester Only*
Praise is simply an expression of movement used to communicate with God and to communicate God's heart to His people. It is the sight of God's message. It communicates the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that may not be received or understood through the hearing of the Gospel.
